Stage 2: First day site visit
Visit each assigned new installation on the first day of fitting. Identify problems before they are repeated or covered up.
- 1.
Explain to the customer and fitter that you check quality, record concerns and help follow the job through to completion. Confirm the installation manager who arranges the work.
- 2.
Photograph the work areas and any visible existing damage. Check protection of floors, walls, appliances and stored cabinetry. Record access or building conditions that could affect fitting.
- 3.
Check that the fitter is using the current approved drawings. Compare the intended positions, cabinet sequence, appliance spaces and important clearances with the site.
- 4.
Inspect the first fitted units for level, plumb, alignment and secure positioning. Raise visible fixing concerns with the installation manager.
Escalation / limit: Do not certify concealed fixings that you cannot inspect.
- 5.
Record incorrect service positions, uneven walls or floors, visible damage, wrong items and obvious shortages. Photograph the specific issue and show its location. Refer technical solutions to the installation manager.
- 6.
Write down the date, rooms checked, work in progress, concerns and who needs to act. Confirm when you need to return.
Escalation / limit: Send urgent items immediately to the manager or Tashiana.
